Dr David Rees Lloyd (known as Dai Lloyd) (born in Tywyn, Gwynedd, 2 December 1956) is a Welsh politician. He has a wife Catherine, and they have 3 children. He was the Plaid Cymru National Assembly for Wales Member for South Wales West from 1999 to 2011.

Dr Lloyd is a graduate of the University of Wales, College of Medicine, Cardiff (1980). MB BCh (1980) MRCGP (1989) Dip. Ther (1995). Awarded an Honorary Fellowship, FRCGP, by the Royal College of Physicians in 2001.
A General Practitioner by profession. Member of the Medical Society, BMA a RCGP (Royal College of GP's); Member of the Welsh Council of the RCGP since 1992. Lay preacher since 1992, and Deacon since 1994; Chairperson, Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin West Glamorgan 1993-1995 (vice-Chair MYM 1991-1993); Honorary vice-President Alzheimer's Disease Society in Swansea and Lliw Valley. Dr Lloyd also had a weekly, live TV Medical slot on Heno, S4C from 1995-1999.
He was the National Assembly for Wales Member for South Wales West from 1999 until 2011, when Plaid failed to win the second seat on the regional list. Her served as Shadow Finance Minister for Plaid Cymru in the National Assembly. He is mow going to stand in the 2012 council elections for the cocket ward in Swansea.
